Saleh Al-Qaraawi (in Arabic صالح القرعاوي) is a Saudi national and the leader of Al Qaeda in Saudi Arabia.〔 〕 He was identified as such on February 3, 2009 when Saudi Arabian security officials identified him through a list of their 85 most wanted list. He was also a founder of the related Abdullah Azzam Brigades (in Arabic كتائب عبدالله عزام) in 2009 as an offshoot of al-Qaeda in Iraq, Syria, Jordan and Lebanon, and was tasked with hitting targets in the Levant and throughout the Middle East.
